Connected Consulting is a fund raising consulting firm owned by Jamie Purcell,  Principal Resource Development Professional.

Jamie Purcell's experience in Resource Development began when she choose to serve as an AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) for the Girl Scout Council of Wyoming. She took on the challenge of reaching girls who, for varied reasons, were not able to participate in Girl Scouts.  The reasons were linked to a lack of transportation options, a lack of leaders in certain neighborhoods, and a lack of resources in the Council itself to reach the girls in these areas.  Jamie worked with the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) program at the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, and the Wyoming Community Foundation, to secure both staff and funding for a summer program that reached 5 distinct neighborhoods of need in the Casper Area, and engaged more than 180 individual girls grades K-6.

Following her time at the Girl Scout Council of Wyoming, Jamie began working with the teens at the North Casper Boys & Girls Club.  She also took the position of Grant Writer for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming.  Her position evolved, and she soon became the Director of Resource Development and Marketing.  

As the Director of Resource Development and Marketing, Jamie implemented systems for grant writing, tracking, and reporting, that led to the securing of more than $500,000 in grants annually.  She also created the annual report, updated the website, and worked directly with the Executive Director and Board of Director's committees on fund raising endeavors which lead to more than $400,000 annually. 

Jamie was responsible for the creation and implementation of an annual resource development plan, an annual marketing and communications plan including the creation of a quarterly newsletter.

Her other experiences included serving on the Donor Relations team, choosing the donor tracking software, and working with regional directors for Boys & Girls Clubs of America in regard to an annual fund drive and planned giving.

While meeting with other resource development colleagues, Jamie recognized the need for a professional's group which would bring together resource development professionals throughout the state once a month to share, learn, and engage each other in professional development - this group is the Casper Resource Development Professionals. 

Through her experience at the Girls Scouts, the Boys & Girls Club, and her volunteer work, Jamie's passion for the success of businesses and non-profits has given her the knowledge and experience to help you be successful.
